Retreat Ministry

We assist in the spiritual development of young leaders for parishes, schools and families by providing basic Catholic teaching in contemporary, energetic, and interactive ways.  A few of the retreats we commonly run:

Outreach Ministry

Our outreach programs offer teenagers a threefold mission: To build healthy peer relationships, to experience Franciscan spirituality and to reach out to those in need.

The Capuchin Outreach Program (COP) provides an ongoing ministry of service to the poor and sick of the Hudson Valley. (Sponsored each summer with an abbreviated program for college students offered each winter.)

For application forms or more information on College COP & Summer COP please go to the Capuchin Outreach Ministry Program Page

In the Capuchin Appalachian Mission, teens offer manual labor, outreach ministry, and a Vacation Bible School to the needy of Kentucky. (Sponsored each summer).

Leadership Training Program

The DDA Leadership Training Program incorporates the
dynamics of Catholic Youth Evangelization: Witness,
Outreach, Proclamation, Conversion, and Call to Discipleship.
Offered twice yearly, it teaches leadership skills in an innovative way.

G.I.F.T. (Growing in Faith Together) is a mirror of our DDA Leadership Training
Program. This retreat is offered to help build peer ministers for high schools,
parishes and youth groups.

T.A.C. (Teen Advisory Council)

The TAC is composed of a few mature and responsible teens representing each parish affiliated with C.Y.F.M..  TAC serves as a forum for youth from different parishes to build community amoung their parishes, share ideas, and give their input for C.Y.F.M. as a whole.  T.A.C. also runs several programs every year, the biggest of which are the Dance Marathon and the Living Stations of the Cross.

Gods T.Y.M. (Total Youth Ministry)

God’s TYM is a parish-based youth ministry program geared for Catholic High School aged teenagers. The program includes catechesis, service, prayer and liturgy, and social opportunities. C.Y.F.M. provides training sessions and support for parish youth ministers and adult coordinators.

Lay Assistant Program/CapCorps Volunteers

We offer college graduates the opportunity to live in community, work at our Garrison Center and be involved in all aspects of our ministry. By their presence, they give witness to their faith and share in the mission of evangelizing youth and families.
