In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, C.Y.F.M. works to encourage the spiritual and moral life of all its participants. We strive to show respect and courtesy towards others and demonstrate positive support for the C.Y.F.M. community. In order to help us promote good ideals and behaviors among the community, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines for all C.Y.F.M. programs and events to bring the spirit of St. Francis alive within our community and beyond.

            • I will comply with all C.Y.F.M. policies and regulations.

            • I will try to form new friendships and create a real Christian community during all C.Y.F.M. events by striving to be friendly towards everyone and not just one individual or one group.

            • I will respect the rights and feelings of others.

            • I will respect the C.Y.F.M. staff, adult leaders, and my peers.

            • I will actively participate in all planned activities, group sessions, and work projects of the retreat or program I am attending.

            • I will keep C.Y.F.M. safe by not possessing, transferring or using any alcohol, non &/or prescription or illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia, fire works, weapons, or anything else that might do others or myself harm. (Prescription and over-the-counter drugs are the responsibility of the individual, but participants must make the coordinator aware of any prescription medication you will be taking. It must also be listed on a medical release form.)

            • I will conduct myself as a Christian and refrain from any sexual misconduct, distasteful, crude or rude behavior, verbal or body language or attitudes. I will report any such misconduct directed towards me or towards another by either a peer or an adult to the director or any C.Y.F.M. staff leading the retreat or program.

            • I will not engage in gambling.

            • I will respect the property of C.Y.F.M. and other individuals by not vandalizing or stealing anything that does not belong to me.

            • I will use appropriate language and refrain from participating in inappropriate discussions.

            • I will not participate in or encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of myself or other participants at C.Y.F.M. events.

            • I will not isolate myself from the community through the use of cell phones/electronic devices. I will use cell phones/electronic devices only during appropriate and designated times.

            • I will not leave the C.Y.F.M. or work site premises for any reason without the permission of an adult leader.

If these rules are broken, I will follow the direction of the C.Y.F.M. staff in disciplinary actions.

I understand that the consequences of these actions may result in the dismissal of my presence from any C.Y.F.M. event.
